Adopt-a-Soldier 2010

Our 2010 Adopt-a-Soldier campaign is under way!  With the generous support of the Rockford area community we are hoping to beat last year's impressive mountain of care packages!  Call in at either store with donations for the men and women serving their country in Iraq or Afghanistan, and help make this year's campaign one to remember! 

The Postal Shoppe is proud to support the men and women enlisted in the armed forces.  With the outstanding generosity of our patrons, we are able to send care packages to soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We have three ways of supporting our troops -

	1.  Donations of funds to offset the shipping costs
	2.  Donations of items to pack and ship
	3.  Selecting names of locally based soldiers to ship to directly.

Here's how it works.  Firstly, we can apply our Military Discount to boxes shipped to our local soldiers serving in war zones.  This discount greatly reduces the expense of shipping.

Our second plan is to co-ordinate donations of items to be given to the soldiers.  We typically receive items like books, dvds, toiletries, games, etc, and we can sort, organize, box and ship them to the service men and women.  Click here for a wider list of suggested of items for donation.

Finally, at Christmas we hang the names of our local soldiers on the Christmas tree, and many people like to select a name to send a present to directly.  Naturally we apply our Military Discount to these packages.
